If you had a 3 ladies in your neighborhood whom each sold one of the following- which would you be more inclined to buy from. Feel free to offer why too, thanks!!
Mary Kay offers make up (and they have come a long way with their look, no longer limited to pepto pink) as well as a noted skin care line and popular fragrance…http://www.marykay.com/skincare/default.…
Of course AVON offers the same type of products as Mary Kay, however I believe they are the ones that have the commercial claiming that their anti aging product “beat the $700 cream”…http://shop.avon.com/shop/product_list.a…

I do not know much about Arbonne other than it seems to be sold to women with money- they have good quality skin care and products including aromatherapy…http://www.arbonne.com/products

  1. Thriftma says:

I like Avon because they don’t test on animals and they don’t have a religious agenda like Mary Kay.

I’ve never heard of arbonne so I wouldn’t consider them.
Depending upon the product, I would go with either Mary Kay or Avon. I think Avon is – generally speaking – more affordable so I tend to buy my makeup products from them, but Mary Kay has some awesome products that I buy regularly – - like timewise 3-in-1 cleanser (THE BEST STUFF EVER!), and I also like their Satin Lips and Satin Hands sets (they’re great).
I guess since I buy more Avon than Mary Kay, I would go with Avon.

  3. Turah S says:

well for the price you pay, I would rather wear chanel, mac or dior makeup ( which is what I usually do)
Between the three, I have heard more about Mary Kay and their products. So I would choose them. I heard their products photograph well too. I do have a Mary Kay lip gloss that I really like. Its a very good plumper. I would say it rivals my mac plumper too.
    Hope this helps!

I’ve tried all three and hate them all. When it comes to putting stuff on my face, I would never use any of these. Arbonne says they only use natural ingredients, but that doesn’t make it high quality. I have sensitive skin and broke out when I sampled an Arbonne lotion – and it smelled horrible! But I guess if I did HAVE TO choose one, maybe Avon?

  5. nova_que says:

I’ve always liked Avon. They have neat things, besides makeup. Besides that, they offer a range of products for every age, sex, and $$$. They have plenty of sales too.
I always thought Mary Kay was a little high-falutin. And I’ve never heard of Arbonne before.

  6. Mrs.G says:

    Neither. Yikes.
Mary Kay bothers my skin (my colleagues have complained of the same), Avon is just plain cheap, bad quality rubish.
    Good luck

  7. Mom3Girl says:

I don’t like any of them honestly because they are not good quality and you do get what you pay for. But if I had to choose, I would go with Avon.

  8. BirthDra says:

I would choose Mary Kay. I think Avon stuff is cheap, and I have never heard of arbonne. But I prefer Clinique over anything else actually….

  9. Blunt says:

One of my friends broke out in hives after using Arbonne, so I personally would stay away from them. Between Mary Kay and Avon, I prefer Avon.

  10. *Miss_Au says:

Def Avon, Affordable and they offer more then just makeup http://christinarosa.avonrepresentative.… That is were I go all the time to get what I need.

I like mary kay make-up it works good and looks nice on.

I supposedly sell Avon so I’m impartial, but I like their skin care products like the lotions and whatnot and their make up is alright. I’ve heard of some good things about their skin-care products and can vouch for most of their Skin-So-Soft line. Their prices are much better than Mary K and Arbonne so they are a good affordable choice. Reese Witherspoon is the spokeswoman for the brand and Avon is serious supporters of Breast Cancer research. So as a company I like Avon, however, for my skin type and tone I think Mary K has a wider and better selection I can choose from. They offer a great foundation for my skin, which I have problems finding in the store and with other products. I’ve only heard a couple of people mention Arbonne so I can’t comment to much on that brand.

Why have you narrowed it down to these three? Because they are women in your neighborhood?
Stick with something you KNOW. The last thing you want is to try another line/brand and your skin have a reaction. You don’t want to look diseased on your wedding day. The only way I would advise you to try this as if something did happen you have plenty of time to get healed.
If you aren’t familiar with makeup, I suggest you go to a favorite department store, get samples & smear them on sensitive body parts, like the crook of your elbow & behind your knee to see how you react to the makeup ingredients.
A couple extra $$ is worth it for your wedding day.

  14. Navy Wife says:

I went to a Mary Kay party a few weeks ago. There were six of us attending; TWO of us had skin reactions to the makeup and facial lotions (myself included). That’s a pretty high percentage! They’re also quite expensive. Also, I liked the way the mascara looked on, but it was labeled waterproof and it is definitely NOT WATERPROOF. The skin reaction was on my cheeks/jawline, so I splashed my face with water to get the makeup off, planning to leave on the eye makeup since it was pretty. Can I say I looked like a raccoon? If there’s any chance you’ll cry on your wedding day (I know I will, lol) … stay away!
I love Avon’s skincare stuff – it’s really affordable and is mild on your skin – no random breakouts or hives on your big day =]

  15. imara219 says:

I LOVE arbonne lotions, but I prefer Mary Kay makeup. Arbonne is great for sensitive skin because they don’t use harsh chemicals in their lotions. They use natural botanicals and herbs. I’m a nurse, so I have to take care of my hands. I wash them so much at the hospital that they get dried and cracked if I don’t use lotion. I like Arbonne because it doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy. It’s wonderful!
My mom sells Mary Kay, and my mother-in-law sells Arbonne, so I can get the best of both worlds!
But yes, see if the Arbonne lady in your neighborhood has samples of the lotion. Try it out!

    Hey, good writing.

I sell Mary Kay and love there foundation and color products. However, my face is very sensitive and recently I was introduced to the skincare products from Arbonne. I absolutely love them. My complexion has become clearer and my face stays moistened all day. Ever since I started using Arbonne I have gotten so many compliments on my skin. Im 50% Mary Kay and 50% Arbonne.
